Yesterday I did alot of walking, I’m trying to get a better knowledge about the districts down in Manhattan, Hells Kitchen, Central Park and so on. All the walking got me really sweaty since I keep up my tempo, sightseeing at the same time, couldn’t been better.

I ate at the winner restaurant “five napkin burger”, they won the title best burgers in town last year. And that turkey burger with steamed broccoli sure was a premotherf&&#%”¤ good burger. Don’t miss it when in New York. Met up with some good people aswell, Andrew is a local physiotherapist who uses a lot of TRX in rehab- training.

Hm, I’m running out of Zero impact bars, since I eat 3 a day on top of this one meal out and one casein shake. I think I will have to make GNC  or vitamin shoppe a visit ;(

Some wimpish photos from my hotelroom (yeah I usually add those when I’m away). Actually, I’ve started to grow a feeling inside that I should stop posting this pics, like I said it’s a bit wimpish and a bit to self centered. I don’t know, fitness people sure are special (me myself).

But I’ve seen so much crappy stuff on the internet, other bloggs and some stupid videos on the youtube on “bodybuilders” showing off their (some) stupid training and their fat offseason shape, who da hell wants to see a fat kid make some bizarre biceps curls? What the heck, bicepscurls, could there be anything more UNfunctional?

sr7

Anyway, I have to confess that the TRX gravity training has given a much better conditioning, and this is clearly whats been missing in my training. I’ve turned down my strenght training to 3 sessions a week the last year. Also the Jacobs ladder is a god given cardio machine that caught my interest for cardio training again. And this is not all, wait until you see my new items on my gym, machines and all of those equipments that I will use in the sports conditioning sessions, It’s gonna be so usefull training. You can’t imagen.

sr26

So my mind about those pics are shattered, do people actually care of my form, or is this to be considered a little bit to much? Or is it just fun to see, I don’t know. Shattered is the word.

Conditioning is better than on some competitions I’ve done. Why? A better balanced lifestyle.

I’m off to the wall street now.

Later dudes.

One step out of the hotel the view over Times Square is great.

I’ve managed to get the Intermittent fasting approach to work in one day, you see when you travel through timezones It has messed up my schedule. This has happend a couple of times, but this time I’ve nailed it, I know how to get in the right pattern easily, good knowledge to have – it will be used on several clients.

I couldn’t find Applebee’s when I visited San Francisco last time. Today on my shopping route I found it. This should not be left out when on visit in US, Applebees is the shit ! Music to my ears, how can I describe how I feel? Freakin great man!

I did another visit at A&F store today, fuckin A. Money burns, but Johanna will be happy, belive me :) My wallet is not. Luckily I brought plenty of Zero Impact bars, this will most likley be lifesavers the last days due to the financial aspects of the clothing.

Don’t visit this gym though. Piece of shit equipment, hot as hell and basement. How the fuck can you guys offer personal training on 6 pieces of shit machines from the 80′s that barley holds the weight stack. Dumbells up to 25punds, great! No barbells. One functional trainer (weight based NOT pneumatic as Keiser) with a pair of handles, you guys ever heard of accesories? Thumbs down. I just can’t belive people pay 29dollars a month for this junk gym.

Gotto go. First real and only meal of the day.

Arrival NY

28 May , 2009

taxiSo after this 9hour flight I’m finally on site. Started to put some fire on the money straight away (hey we only live one time) 80dollar cab to the hotel :)

Then I headed to the boulevard of shopping: 5th avenue, I didn’t buy all that much but I was really interested in the A&F store here in NY. So back at the hotel and doing some bloggin.

The flight was good 9hours isn’t that much, but I just hate staying seated for all those hours. I did 1,5hour standing, people were looking like me like crazy. They might thought that I was feeling sick or something. While doing some stretching and “exercises” I got that stupid look from people. Who cares?

Todays food intake has been ok, 2 zero Impact bars one on the flight, I broke the fasting phase at 14.oo as usual. Then  at 19 (swedish time that is) I took the second one. After the shopping I went to a buffé bar and managed to get some good food in a box 16.95 $ pretty cheap!  A casein based proteinpowder will be indulged in a little bit, and that’s about it for the day.

Since I’ve been sedentary the whole day (except the shopping walk on 1,5hour) I will do some exercises in my little hotel room, If I can find some space that is:

So I had to by curiosity calculate the rate/square meters for my room: 159sek / m2. This my friends is a good price for a hotel downtown Manhattan! The Lobby sure doens’t look like crap either:

Neat !

So tomorrow I will meet up with some guys, and I better start prepare my seminar for the Intermittent fasting, Friday (here) will be the day. Then over to education again. Oh, the flight was filled up with scientist they were going to a great conference about breast cancer, we had a chat and It was quite interesting.

As I’ve mentioned before, there no such tool in the gym as the Keiser Functional Trainer. This is the most versatile equipment you can posess as a gymowner. Here you see Johanna doing spiderman walk (explosive), we use the machine as assistance NOT recistance. This allows her to work more with stability during a longer period, and the same time she’s stressing her cordination skills. Pretty neat huh?

I got nice visit from Bro. Sadly, the time is not on my side, just a short visit. We’ll make it happend another time of the year aaight?

So gotto go, stressed out.

Tomorrow I will leave Sweden again, just for a shorty in New York.

I’ll get some cool pics from NY, stay tuned guys.

So the weekend is over and another week is to be worked through. I have pretty good controll over things now, well at least it feels like that (might be temporary). FitnessFive at Café Opera was good, plenty of people in the audience, and the competitors was awesome. I had to jump in as a controll judge during the competition, good for my own arrangemet in Ystad. Strict rules, no doubt about that.

On our way up to stockholm (8hour drive) I did some TRX suspenssion training on different places, this one in Jönköping outside a big mall:

24 May , 2009

So at last we arrived to the hotel in Stockholm after a long drive. Alot of business talk on our way up,  and that just makes the trip a little more interesting. As we arrived, hungry as hell we decided to go out and eat on “grodan”, where I orderd a minute steak with boiled potatoe, rubbery to say the least. Nice compensation with another one that wasn’t rubbery so I felt forced to give some tip which isn’t to frequently done i Sweden. As always Zero Impact bars are in my travelbag, two of those yesterday and a dinner at the restaurant was the intake yesterday. Allready I miss Johanna and the sweet food she’s cooking for me everyday, restaurants clearly isn’t the same!

We met up with another guy who is also in the events this weekend at Café Opera, another fitness enthusiast.

We went down to grodan” again and had a glance at the comedy club, which wasn’t to good. Cola light for me, beer for the other guys. So nothing really happend, but I made something happend. Went back to the hotel, picked up the TRX and went down to Stureplan, to do some suspenssion training and some good photos. Here is the result:

Well the audience was happy - inquisitive. :)

Saturday 23.30 at Stureplan Stockholm, crowded…

We will head to Café Opera in a little bit, have to prepare for the Fitness Five competition later today, in the evening there will be a VIP night with fashion parade, and as you all know Dcore is the brand. Check it out at www.dcore.se , soon a new site will be presented.

Anyway dudes, have a good sunday!

Straight from Malawi

21 May , 2009

macammm this tastes wondefull!

My mother visited Malawi a couple of weeks ago, and bought me this macadamia nuts from Malawi. The taste is incredibly good, not like those sold in Sweden.

Dangerous for the conditioning though when consumed in large amounts ;)

This nut have a very good structure of fats, and could be considerd on of the best nuts avalible on the market today. Pretty new for the Swedish consumers, and expensive…

Time pass, and days run out of my hand, the nice small notes I have on my table on “what to do” increase with every day and not many can be deleted in the tempo I thought the would. Stressed out, the upcoming weeks is without a doubt the most demanding since … eh I don’t know when.

crf

So, quick break-fast at work, Roastbeef, cottage cheese, OLW dipmix and large sallad, YUMEE!

Still I have to be in good shape for every upcoming events, this weekend FF5 on Café Opera and after that education with pretty demanding tasks.

Gotto stay on top of things!

Now it’s time for another PT session on the TRX.

Gotto go

Allergiepedemi

19 May , 2009

0011Monday morning guys, cheer up a new week and plenty of opportunitys.

This is me at SATS Norrtull, who has invested in the future. Beside a Keiser functional trainer, there are just so many accessorys in forms of handles and other stuff that the industry have beg for. Just take a look at this vest from Keiser, imagen everything you could do with it. You can place the load on the body from so many different angels, brilliant!

Can you take this? This is a homegym… One of my clients have invested in Roc-It series from HOIST, and on top of this 8 piece circiut he also bought Concept 2 row machine, Keiser M3 bicykle and a crosstrainer. WOW, there are many gyms in my hometown Ystad who doesn’t have equipment that can compare to this mans homegym. Because he is rich? No, thats not it, it’s all about knowledge. Some people just don’t understand what makes the different. Avid gymowners don’t invest, the take all the profit themself and let people train in piece of shit equipment.

Is it not time for a change?

I just get so freakin fed up with clients in other towns training in respectable gyms, gymowners who without a doubt make alot of money, but still they don’t invest in the members at all. So if any gymowner read this blog, SEPARATE YOURSELF!
