This youngster certainly got some talent… He contacted me via e-mail, with a goal on his mind, to make his first apperance in Atheltic Fitness. So we started out quickly, he sended me some pictures of the manditories and I must say I was pleased. Even though the kid wasn’t in shape, I could clearly see what was beneath his fat. A pair of awesome quads and hams, to this a great structure on his abs.

This was my first sight of Erik, Man! I was excited, I could clearly see his great physiqe beneath.

We started out at 92kgs and the first goal was to bring him down to 12% fat, pretty fast. This was to make sure the last 8weeks before the show we didn’t have to rush things. This guy is a true mesomorph, with only one year of solid and strict training in the results are amazing.

But this guy isn’t a novice when it comes to training, this pure athlete is a former icehokey goaltender, playing in the elite-division among the swedish juniors. And this is of course the main reason his legs are so good, imagen yourself standing in a squatted postion for several hours a week, to this we could add some strenght training that goes along with the icehockey. Damn* I wish I played hockey in my early days. The other factor must be genetic, as this guy is a true mesomorph he have no problem gaining muscle mass, neither does he have problems losing bodyfat, the diet was pretty simple.

We used the Intermittent fasting approach during the whole diet and Erik sure did liked it. It was only the last week when we started out to depleat his glycogen we had a “normal” meal frequency, also the loading glycogen phase was with regular eating pattern. This is mainly because I haven’t found the optimal way to do this with IF approach. And I sure did not want to mess up with his great shape, no restrictions in water was done, as Atheltic Fitness athletes should perform not just look good.

I wrote Eriks trainingprogram, and had some special thoughts about his Chinups and Dips training, which turned out to be good ones. Erik performed good a the Dips at his first show, 45 judge accepted dips, while Chinup performance was moderate (or bad). Finished 6:th in his first competition with a good field of athletes, me as a coach and him as the athlete were pleased.

The first stage light on Erik!

The day after the competition we made a photosession at my gym, some pictures are in my “portfolio”, and heres one:

Now we will focus on his flaws, then another competition will be done!

One thing I laid alot of attention on this guy, to have a balanced life. As we all know who is in the business this is a main concern, people getting fat in the offseason and to rigid during the diet. Erik’s plan included free meals and some variable foods everyday of the diet, it was just the last 2 weeks things was “hard”. He will maintain a good form all year round while still making sure that LBM gains are noticable.

Start weight was 92kgs and at competition he was ~74kgs, he will be keept around 80kgs year round. Never gaining that much fat again!

Erik had some favourite supplements as well:

Green Magnitude

Burn-Force

Purple Wraath

White Flood

Glucosamin, MSM and Chondiotin
